I grew up in a home where art and beauty were deeply appreciated. As a child, I loved to draw and paint. After decades solely devoted to my career in Medicine, now in retirement, I have returned to painting.
I’ve been fortunate to study with outstanding teachers and to finally have the time to learn and explore in ways that weren’t possible before—and what a joy it is.
I am drawn to still life painting, where light, shadow, and color reveal the essence of things. I find great pleasure in bringing objects to life by creating a convincing illusion of form, volume and texture. Colors and shapes have always fascinated me, and I find particular joy and challenge in painting flowers—with their dazzling beauty and infinite variations.
