I grew up in a home where art and beauty were deeply appreciated. As a child, I loved to draw and paint. After decades in medicine, I have returned to painting in retirement.
I’ve been fortunate to study with outstanding teachers and to finally have the time to learn and explore in ways that weren’t possible before—and what a joy it is.
I am drawn to still life painting, where light, shadow, and color reveal the essence of things. I find great pleasure in bringing objects to life by creating a convincing illusion of form, volume and texture. Colors and shapes have always fascinated me, and I find particular joy and challenge in painting flowers—with their dazzling beauty and infinite variations.
